Adventure Comics #3

At this particular moment in time, Tim is the only one who stills trusts wholeheartedly that Bruce could still be alive. Not Dick, run-ragged by raising Damian and keeping up appearances in Gotham, not Cass, cleaning up Hong Kong, or Steph, or Barbara, busy with Team Batgirl, or Jason. Not Alfred. Tim. Who is also, for all intents and purposes, alone. Unintentionally shunted off to the side as his family tries to put itself back together.

Kon is one of few to actively seek Tim out in the months following Bruce’s death, and certainly the first to put real stock in what he’s saying. Despite a real lack of concrete evidence, he reassures Tim of exactly that which he needs desperately to hear; Kon believes so strongly in Tim; he extends his faith to include the possibility that Bruce could still be out there.

And, all of a sudden, that spark ignites in Tim’s eye again.

You gave me a home.
